Owls' legend David Hirst is considering his future and the possibility of a move into the managerial and coaching side of football.
In the fifth and final part of our exclusive Wednesday World interview, Hirst spoke of his growing desire to venture onto the other side of the white line and take up a managerial or coaching role.
He said: "It has tempted me but it's something that I've put to one side really. It wasn't something that I was desperate to get into like a lot of players are but it is something that I have started to think about. I certainly wouldn't turn any offers down that's for sure."
The S6 legend believes that through his own experiences in the game, he would have plenty to offer in a coaching role.
He went onto add: "I watch my little boy play on a Sunday morning and that's what has probably triggered it. You try and help out on a Sunday morning although I don't get too involved with what the managers of his team are saying.
"I do think whether it is coaching kids or players at a higher level, I have something to offer through the experiences I have been through. Now that my kids are growing up, I have more time on my hands to look at the situation and hopefully fingers crossed something might come up."
In the meantime the former Owls striker is keeping himself busy with his own side project of running a company, playing golf and catching as many games at Hillsborough as he can.
"Sheffield Wednesday are still a massive part in my life. I only have to walk into my son's bedroom with all the Sheffield Wednesday memorabilia in it. He likes to come and watch the games and so do I."
