Young defender Liam McMenamin has joined up with Northern Ireland's under-21 squad today as his country prepare to face Germany.

The 19-year-old right back is in the U21 squad for the second time in as many months after he travelled to a tournament in the Ukraine in August to face Poland and the host nation.

McMenamin will be looking to get a starting shirt in Steve Beaglehole's side on Friday as the Northern Ireland contingent face Germany in Wuppertal (8.15pm kick-off). The match is a qualifier for the European U21 Championship.
