Etienne Esajas has capped an excellent start to the new season by winning the Handley Brown Player of the Month for August, adding to the same award he won last September.

The Dutchman turned in a string of top drawer displays last month and has been rewarded after comfortably topping the club's official online poll.

Esajas, who scooped the award with a huge 53.46 per cent of the vote, will be speaking exclusively to swfc.co.uk later on Friday.

The top three in the August Player of the Month vote are as follows:

1. Etienne Esajas (53.46 per cent)

2. Marcus Tudgay (9.19 per cent)

3. Sean McAllister (6.84 per cent)
