Sheffield Wednesday right back Liam McMenamin enjoyed a memorable outing for Northern Ireland's under-21 side in Hamilton on Tuesday night, helping his country to a 3-1 win.

Scotland took the lead in the third minute but Northern Ireland soon bounced back, netting in the ninth and 26th minutes to take the lead.

McMenamin, 19, stepped up to his country's U21 squad earlier this year and came on as a half time substitute on Scottish soil, shortly before the Irish side made it 3-1.

The Owls academy product will see his involvement in the game as another important step in his professional development.
