The Owls have received permission from Stoke City to field on-loan defender Lewis Buxton in Saturday's FA Cup third round clash with Fulham.

Buxton is on loan with Wednesday from Stoke until mid-January and his parent club could have vetoed the player's cup involvement.

However, Potters boss Tony Pulis has confirmed Buxton can play for the Owls in this term's competition, unless the two clubs are paired together in future rounds.
