Wednesday keeper Lee Grant is ready for a tough test at Norwich on Saturday as the Owls hit the road following last weekend's international break.
The Canaries are locked in the heart of the relegation dogfight and given Wednesday's similar position this time last term, Grant can readily identify with the predicament of Bryan Gunn and his men.
He told Wednesday World: "This will be a tough game because they really need a win and are in a position where every goal and every point counts.
"It's very much the same position we were in this time last season, we know how they will approach the game, they will be coming out fighting.
"But we've done our homework, we know what to expect and we need a win ourselves."
To that end, Grant is confident the Owls can build on their encouraging away performances of late. Wednesday have posted a win and two draws from their last three games out of base, form that suggests a maximum haul at Carrow Road is very much an option.
He added: "Our recent away form has been very encouraging, in fact some of our best performances this season have been away from home.
"It's a shame we couldn't get the win over Swansea in our last home game but there were plenty of positives, not least the clean sheet, now we need to build on that.
"We'll have a fair few fans at Norwich and we'll be keeping our foot on the pedal all the way through to the end of the season.
"Our aim now is to finish as high as possible because it will make a big difference for us to look back and say we improved on last season."
