The Owls host relegation-threatened Southampton on Saturday and Grant says his side will be keeping their feet firmly on the gas.
In addition, Wednesday are smarting from back to back defeats over the Easter period at the hands of Derby and QPR.
Grant told Wednesday World: "It would be unfair of us to down tools. We don't want people on the outside looking in and saying 'Wednesday have given up the ghost'.
"That wouldn't be fair because we owe it to every team in the Championship to give it our best shot.
"We have to make sure we are not the team to get rolled over. The position that Southampton are in will give us something different to contend with.
"And we will mean business because it's important that we bounce back after a disappointing Easter."
Grant will take heart with Wednesday back at Hillsborough protecting the best home defensive record in the division.
And with only three sides having conceded more goals out of base than Southampton this season, the statistics point towards a home win.
Grant added: "We've not been as effective of late at home but we still have the best home record in the Championship in terms of goals conceded.
"That's something we can take pride from and something we can take into the game with Southampton."
