Sheffield Wednesday is reminding fans that any supporters attending the pre-season tour in Malta must buy match tickets in advance of travelling to the Mediterranean island.

While many fans have signed up to the club's various travel and/or activity packages for Malta we are also aware that many others will be making travel arrangements independently.

Sheffield Wednesday would like to stress that the club can only maximise financial income from the Malta tour if it can be proved that supporters are travelling to the island to watch the Owls.

It is imperative therefore that supporters who have not signed up to club packages buy match tickets in advance of travelling, with tickets not available in Malta. With this in mind we have introduced the ability to purchase tickets from the Owls Megastore at £10 each (a £2 booking fee per transaction will apply on credit card transactions).

A receipt will be issued to fans which can be exchanged for tickets in Malta. Transfers can be bought seperately on the island.

Tickets can be bought from 9am on Wednesday (June 24) in person from the Owls Megastore or by telephone on 0871 995 1867 (option 2) and will be available until July 1.

Additionally, supporters wishing to attend the pre-tour orientation evenings at Hillsborough should contact the club. Orientation evenings will be held on Friday, July 3 (please note this date has been moved from July 2) and Wednesday, July 8. To register your interest please click here.

In the mean time there are some very attractive tour packages still available - for more details click here.

Opponents for the pre-season friendly matches in Malta will be confirmed later this week.
