Owls right back, Frank Simek, expressed his delight to Wednesday Player at having made consecutive league appearances after a long return from injury.
Simek admitted he couldn't remember the last time he played back-to-back matches before playing in the Owls last two league games against Bristol City and Queens Park Rangers.
The USA defender now hopes to carry on his run in the first team this weekend against Ipswich Town.
He told Wednesday Player: "I've started consecutive games now and I can't remember the last time I did that. Hopefully I can stay fit and keep giving my all for the team so I get picked.
"I just want to stay in the team and play football. I haven't had a lot of football in the last few years so I need to prove to any of the doubters out there that I can still play."
Although the Tractor Boys have had a slow start to the season, Simek expects a stern test from Roy Keane's side.
He went on: "I'm sure they'll be up for it but if we can go there and get a result, which I know we can, it will be a good day for us.
"It's going to be a tough game and we know that even though Ipswich are down in the relegation zone, we are under no illusions - it will be tough. I'm sure Ipswich will be working hard, their forward players are pretty good, we have been discussing that, and we'll have to be on the ball to cope with them.
"The game is on Sky and I found out they are covering it in the States as well so I'm sure my friends and family back home will be watching so hopefully we can come away with three points."
