Under-18s triumph at Town

Posted on: Mon 23 Nov 2009

Sheffield Wednesday Under-18s travelled to Huddersfield Town on Saturday and emerged with a 1-0 victory.

Nathan Modest's first half strike was the difference between the two sides and academy manager, Sean McAuley, was naturally delighted with the result.

He said: "I thought we did well in the first half, Nathan Modest scored a good goal. We defended well in the second half but credit has to go to Huddersfield.

"They put us under a lot of pressure but we've played well in games this season and lost when we should have got more so we're pleased with this result."
