Owls winger Jermaine Johnson is set to make his 200th career appearance against Newcastle United at Hillsborough on Saturday.
JJ has played 109 games for the Owls, scoring 10 goals and is in the midst of his most prolific spell at this level after a flying start to the season yielded goals against Barnsley, Scunthorpe and Queens Park Rangers.
Johnson is now looking to build on his appearance tally with the Owls over the forthcoming season.
He told Wednesday Player: "I'm really pleased to reach 200 games. The important thing is that I can carry on playing and if I keep working hard in training and working hard on the pitch I will be able to do that.
"We have an good group of players here and we need to kick on up the table and start with a win against Newcastle."
The Jamaican pace ace signed a new one-year contract back in October that will keep him at Wednesday until the end of 2010/11 season.
