Michael Gray believes Wednesday have hit the ground running under Owls boss Alan Irvine but insists tonight's match against Scunthorpe United could prove one of the toughest yet.
The Iron will go into the match on the back of a spirited FA Cup performance against Premier League big-hitters Manchester City on Sunday and may feel boosted by their display, despite a 4-2 defeat.
But speaking to
Wednesday Player, Gray is confident that if Wednesday can play as they have been, another three points is possible.
He said: "It's been a really great week and there are smiles back on the lads' faces.
"We've looked very organised in games as well as showing flair going forward and there's been some exciting football.
"When you see us lose the ball, it's about getting back into shape and making it hard for the opposition to break through us and I think we've done that well."
Scunthorpe sit one place and one point below Wednesday in the Championship and Gray is aware how difficult it can be going to Glanford Park.
He went on: "It's a very tight and compact ground. They like to play it out of the back so I'm sure it's going to be a tough match and one that we have to prepare properly for.
"But the new manager and staff have come in, they have a different way of approaching these football matches and we've hit the ground running with them and it's so far, so good."
