Luke Varney is confident Wednesday can upset the odds on Saturday as the Owls prepare for the trip to second-placed Nottingham Forest.
Billy Davies' side have gone from strength to strength this season and are now amongst the favourites for automatic promotion.
But after striking twice against Plymouth Argyle last Saturday, Varney is ready to get back out on the pitch and help drive Wednesday up the table.
He told
Wednesday Player: "It will be a tough game and people are saying they will be on the rebound but you'd like to think it will go the other way and they'll be a bit nervous. If we get a good start, we can get at them.
"With them being at home, they'll be expected to win but we've got the momentum going into this game and we're all very much up for it."
Those two goals against the Pilgrims have certainly lifted the striker, who is thoroughly enjoying his latest loan spell at Hillsborough.
"To get the three points was the most important thing against Plymouth," Varney said. "But obviously to score two goals was a great reward for me.
"It's been really good to come back and get involved in the high intensity training. Alan told me he has brought me here to play so I was delighted to start.
"I'm just glad to be here and playing a part whatever happens on Saturday, whether I'm starting or coming off the bench, I'll give 100 per cent."
