Spurr seeking Owls response
Owls left back Tommy Spurr is ready to put the midweek defeat against Doncaster Rovers behind him with a massive home game around the corner at home to Ipswich Town.
Roy Keane's Tractor Boys come to Hillsborough on Saturday looking to lift themselves from the bottom three, and leapfrog Wednesday in the process, but Spurr is firmly focused on getting back to winning ways.
He told Wednesday Player: "Obviously we were disappointed with the match against Doncaster but we'll be putting that out of our minds, learning from our mistakes and focusing on getting three points against Ipswich.
"The manager has told us we need to concentrate on Saturday's game and see our good characters come through."
Despite losing the local derby against Rovers on Tuesday, the young defender has seen a big improvement in recent matches, even in defeat, and Spurr expects a big performance against Town.
He continued: "Even in games before where we've lost, like against Nottingham Forest, we've not played badly and we're perhaps unlucky not to get a result so we won't dwell on Tuesday's defeat.
"The good results we have had, have brought our confidence back and brought our form back to what it should be and hopefully we can take that into the game on Saturday and win."
