New fan magazine launched
A brand new bi-monthly fan magazine has been launched across the region and is available to buy from the club shop priced at £2.50.
'first e11even' is written independently for the fans by the fans and features a wide range of articles from across the region.
As well as featuring the Owls, it comprises another eight clubs as well as Back The Bid Sheffield 2018 Team and the Sheffield & Hallamshire FA.
The aim of the magazine is to reflect the diverse footballing culture of the region, acting as a calling card both nationally and internationally with Sheffield recently chosen as a potential host city for England's 2018 Bid and Hillsborough as a potential World Cup venue.
Editor Blake Welton said: "The magazine is very much about the fans and we are looking for people to get involved in whatever way they can - whether it's buying the magazine or being a contributor and writing about your club or about football in general."
"The fact that Sheffield Wednesday has embraced this independent fan initiative is something I am grateful for. They share the same vision of bringing fans and clubs closer together for positive change and overall better matchday experiences."
"The support that all the clubs have given has been overwhelming - they really do want the fans to have an independent outlet that can have strong communication links to them," the 25-year-old added.
Issue 1 contains articles looking at the arrival of Alan Irvine and departure of Brian Laws, the impact Lee Strafford has made on the club in just over a year, a team of the decade piece entitled 'e11even for the decade', competitions and a whole lot more…
If you cannot get to the Sheffield Wednesday Megastore, the magazine is also on sale at selected GT News outlets and will be available online shortly at www.firste11even.co.uk while those involved in the magazine will be on hand to promote it at the home game against Leicester City.
