Signed derby shirts ready for bids

Posted on: Wed 21 Apr 2010

Sheffield Wednesday is pleased to begin our next round of charity auctions, this time in aid of The Children's Hospital Charity.

Following a successful series of auctions for Help For Heroes last month, we have now started online bidding for signed players shirts from the Steel City derby against Sheffield United on Sunday, April 18, 2010, with all proceeds going to The Children's Hospital Charity.

With both teams wearing The Children's Hospital, Sheffield's logo on their shirts for this unique match we have started the Sheffield Wednesday shirt auctions on ebay.co.uk - each player's shirt from the 18-man matchday squad will be auctioned in the coming days so keep a look out for your favourite player's kit.

First up are Owls defenders Mark Beevers and Frank Simek, whose shirts are now up for auction over five days with a minimum starting price of just £55. Whilst Frank Simek was an unused substitute in this match, the shirt is match-worn from previous games.

The shirts feature each player's names and numbers on the reverse and Coca-Cola Football League badges on the sleeves. They have been signed by the squad on the reverse - perfect for framing with the name/number displayed. Two player shirts will be added to the auction site each day with every player's shirt being available to bid on for five days.
