Owls winger Gary Teale expects more to come from Wednesday in terms of performances despite getting off to an unbeaten start with two wins and a draw.
The Scottish wideman believes there is plenty of room for improvement but is happy with the results in the early stages of the season.
Speaking to
Wednesday Player, he said: "The way results have gone, I think we can be pleased with things but in terms of performances I think we still have got a lot to do.
"We started off really well against Dagenham & Redbridge in the opening half hour but then stopped doing the good things we were doing.
"We want to get back to playing that sort of football because it's exciting football for the players and exciting football for the fans."
This weekend, Wednesday are back at home against Brighton & Hove Albion where Teale hopes for further improvement and of course three points against Gus Poyet's men.
He went on: "We're going in the right direction but have got a lot to improve on still.
"I think with the manager Brighton have, he'll have them playing good football and I think they'll prove to be a good side and tough opposition."
