Giles Coke has capped an excellent start to his Wednesday career by being named in the npower League One Team of the Week.

Coke joined the Owls on a free transfer from SPL side Motherwell over the summer and has proved an astute capture for manager Alan Irvine so far.

The midfield man has hit three goals for his new employers, allied to a string of productive performances in the engine room - not least during Saturday's 5-0 rout of Hartlepool at Victoria Park.

Coke is also in the running for the Owls' Player of the Month award for August. The 24-year old is currently in pole position and will discover his fate here on swfc.co.uk on Thursday when the result is announced.
