Coke, who was crowned as the npower Player of the Month for August on Thursday, has already proved himself a hit with Wednesdayites following his free transfer switch from Motherwell over the summer.

And the 24-year-old has hailed the quality in the camp as being pivotal to his success so far.

He told Wednesday Player: "It's been a brilliant month for me. I think I've moulded in very well. We have a very good set of players and a very good manager.

"We can adapt and we have already shown that we can play different formations. The 4-4-2 formation has probably worked best for us so far but I think we have shown that we can adapt and play different systems."

With three goals to his name already - and one controversially chalked off by the Football League's Dubious Goals Panel - Coke has certainly brought his shooting boots south of the border.

And again, he has paid tribute to the experience and quality around him on the park.

He said: "I practice my shooting more in training which might have paid off but I wouldn't say I have changed the way I play.

"But we have players in this squad that like to get forward and we saw that with James O'Connor, who scored two goals in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy against Notts County.

"When you are around good players you can find yourself getting forward that bit more."
