Owls team news
Wednesday will give fitness tests to Mark Beevers (hip) and James O'Connor (hamstring) ahead of the Pilgrims clash.

Team captain Richard Wood trained on Monday and should shake off the effects of a hamstring strain to make the cut. Akpo Sodje should also be available for selection.

Marcus Tudgay definitely misses out with a groin strain sustained at local rivals Barnsley last Tuesday.

Jimmy Smith is also out; the midfielder begins a four-match ban following his red card at Birmingham on Saturday after the Owls failed in a bid to have the sending-off overturned.

Plymouth team news
Ex-Owls boss Paul Sturrock has no fresh injury or suspension concerns following Saturday's home defeat to Ipswich - but will shake up his team nonetheless at Hillsborough.

Sturrock was disappointed with his players' display at the weekend and has vowed to make changes when he returns to his old stamping ground.

He said: "We didn't do the things we have been working on regularly. Too many players looked sloppy in possession and too many players looked leggy as well. I have got food for thought on how to change this team and put a freshness to it."

Former Wednesday striker Steve MacLean could figure for the visitors after making an appearance from the bench against Ipswich.
