Sheffield Wednesday secured the services of Nicky Weaver on a one-year contract ahead of the 2010/11 season.
The 31-year-old goalkeeper joined on a free transfer and featured in the Owls' opening game of the campaign against Dagenham & Redbridge at Hillsborough.
Weaver is now into his second spell with Wednesday having enjoyed a successful loan stint at the club back in the 2005/06 campaign.
The Sheffielder and lifelong Wednesdayite has made a total of 307 senior starts in a career spanning 16 years. He holds the club record at former club Manchester City for the most clean sheets recorded in a season - 26 - achieved in 1998/99.
