Tommy continued his rapid development last season, storing an impressive 45 appearances in all competitions and making the left back slot his own.
After rising through the S6 ranks, Spurr made his senior breakthrough in April 2006 against Reading at Hillsborough and his since grown from strength to strength in the Owls rearguard.
The Leeds lad was recognised as a natural leader at youth level and is a tall, athletic player who is strong in the air, possesses a sweet left foot and also reads the game well. He chipped in with two goals last season too, at Charlton in August and against Plymouth on home soil eight months later.
