Luke made his Wednesday debut at Plymouth Argyle in August 2006, earning his first start against Wrexham four days later.
The attacking midfielder first linked up with the Owls' senior set-up as part of the squad for the pre-season tour of the USA in 2006, appearing twice in the States - starting once - during the three-match trip.
Luke furthered his footballing education whilst still at school by taking part in Wednesday's 2004/05 Youth Cup campaign before starting his scholarship in 2005/06. The rangy Sheffielder made three senior appearances last time out and was offered a new one-year contract in the summer of 2008.
