KS2 Schools Olympic Funday 2012

Bring the London 2012 Olympics to life in your School.

SWFC Community Programme can be hired to run an Olympic themed day in your school to get your students out of the classroom and onto the running track.

Classes will be split up into eight teams and will compete against each other in eight different track and field events including 100m, hurdles, long jump, relay and throwing events.

SWFC Community Programme staff will be on hand to run the entire day including set up, running of events and a medal ceremony for participants from the winning team.

Up to 64 children will be able to take part per two and a half hour session and we will be able to run morning and afternoon session to meet your requirements.

The day will conclude with a medal ceremony, with gold, silver and bronze medals for participants from the winning teams.

We will provide a coordinator and eight assistant coaches to bring the 2012 Olympics to life in your School.

The Cost for the full day is £300.

Example of Timings:

**We can accommodate up to 128 pupils per day from your School**

9.30-12.00pm - Yr 3-4, maximum 64 pupils
1.00-3.00pm - Yr 5-6, maximum 64 pupils

DID YOU KNOW?!
• The Greeks held the first Olympic Games in the year 776 BC, over 2,000 years ago and had only one event, a sprint.
• This will be the third time London has hosted the Olympic Games having also done so in 1908 and 1948.
