After the midweek success in the FA Cup, Wednesday are back in Sky Bet Championship action on Saturday against Wigan.
Here is swfc.co.uk’s match preview:
The Owls gave a good response to defeat at Hull last weekend by negotiating their way past a tricky tie at Luton in the third round replay.
Wednesday will be looking to post their first win in the Championship since Boxing Day.
Saturday’s visitors Wigan picked up their first win last weekend since November, with a 3-0 triumph at home over Aston Villa.
The Latics had lost five of their previous six league games and were also knocked out of the FA Cup away at West Brom before bouncing back against Villa.
Wigan and Wednesday met on the opening day of the season with the points staying at The DW after Paul Cook’s side won 3-2.
Team news
Owls: Keiren Westwood, Sam Hutchinson and Lucas Joao could all return to action.
Fernando Forestieri is also edging closer to his comeback, though Saturday’s meeting with Wigan is likely to be too soon.
Joey Pelupessy (ankle) remains a doubt.
Wigan: Nick Powell (hamstring) returned to training on Monday but will not be involved at Hillsborough.
Gavin Massey (hamstring) and Antonee Robinson (ankle) are also ruled out for the visitors.
