The Owls Under-18s posted a point from a tough clash at Watford on Saturday.

Wednesday fell behind on the half hour mark but fought back after the break to draw level.

The visitors pounced on a loose ball in the final third and Declan Thompson showed fantastic composure to break into the box and square for Charles Hagan to finish into an empty net.

Buoyed by the leveller, the Owls went in search of a second and twice came close through Iyad Hamud and Hagan before settling for a hard-fought point.

The Under-18s are in action against Bristol City on Saturday at Middlewood Road (12 noon).
