Owls defender Miguel Llera has told swfc.co.uk of the fantastic atmosphere at the club after making a strong start to the 2012/13 campaign.
Wednesday have amassed seven points from the opening three games – with a draw against Derby at Pride Park and wins over Birmingham and Millwall at Hillsborough.
Llera, who scored twice in the 3-2 win over the Lions on Saturday, is delighted by the early signs.
He said: “We have started well and that is important for the squad because some players had not played in the Championship before. Everyone at the club wants to show they are good enough to play in this division.
“Every weekend we can improve a little bit more. Each game we have conceded two goals and we can improve on that aspect.
“But the team showed a good reaction to going behind on Saturday against Millwall. In the second half we improved a lot and went on to win the game.”
The Owls face Premier League side Fulham in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday before making the trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Spanish defender, of course, is targeting a place in the next round of the competition and another three points at Selhurst Park at the weekend.
He added: “The atmosphere in the dressing room is great.
“Even the players who are not in the team are training very well and pushing hard for places.
“We need to keep going because if not, our situation can change very quickly.
“We play Fulham next and we will go into the game with confidence before going to Crystal Palace on Saturday looking for three points.”
