The Sheffield Wednesday development squad are back in action today facing Derby County at the Rams’ Moor Farm (1.00pm kick off)
The Wednesday Under-21s lost a close-fought encounter against Derby back in September at Middlewood Road.
Development Squad coach Lee Bullen said: “We had a tremendous game up here against them and they came with a very strong side.
“They started with Jake Buxton, Nathan Tyson and Theo Robinson. These three guys have been scoring and playing for Derby’s first team week, in week out.
“It was a great experience for our younger lads to play against them.
“We were 1-0 down, came back to 1-1 and did really, really well and then gave away a soft goal to make it 2-1.
“You’re never happy to lose a game, but there are ways to lose a football match. We were very unlucky. The attitude was excellent against experienced players.
“We’ll go down to Derby today with a very young squad again and it’ll be another good test for all of us that’s what this Under-21 league is all about.
“It’s about the mental attitude and the belief within the squad, so hopefully they’ll go out there and give a good account of themselves.”
