Owls in the Park

24 July 2012

Come along to the SWFC Fun Day

Sheffield Wednesday are inviting Owls fans of all ages to come down to Hillsborough Park this Sunday to enjoy our special community fun day.

Owls in the Park, in conjunction with Sheffield City Council, will take place on 29 July after the original event was postponed due to bad weather.

Entry will be free of charge and activities will run from 11.00am until 5.30pm.

Following the huge success of SWFC’s Open Day at Hillsborough last summer, which attracted almost 5,000 fans, the event will now be hosted in the park on a much grander scale.

It will be supporters’ first chance to meet Dave Jones’ summer signings, get their new 2012-13 home and away shirts autographed, and pose for photos with their favourite Owls stars.

A raft of entertainment opportunities will be available with a funfair and bouncy castle as well as a petting zoo of farmyard animals including real-life Owls.

The club’s Community Programme are bringing along their inflatable pitch to hold a penalty shoot-out, a speed gun competition and football demonstrations.

Other attractions include; face painters, dance troupe, community stalls, car show, live music, a variety of food outlets, a licensed bar and much, much more.
