Owls: The Owls will give late fitness tests to Anthony Gardner (hamstring), Lewis Buxton (hamstring), Rhys McCabe (ankle) and Jay Bothroyd (ankle).
Chris O'Grady could feature on Sunday having recovered from a foot injury.
Midfielder David Prutton is also available for selection after his loan spell with Scunthorpe has come to an end.
Cardiff: Kadeem Harris (ankle) is unlikely to feature on Sunday while Nicky Maynard (knee) is ruled out.
Tommy Smith (hamstring) is back in training but the clash against the Owls will come too soon for the striker.
