Owls midfielder Nejc Pecnik struck twice for Slovenia last night in their international friendly against Macedonia.
Macedonia led the way 2-0 at half time but the introduction of Pecnik from the bench for the second half had the desired effect for Slovenia, with the Wednesday winger scoring four minutes after the restart.
Macedonia added a third goal but Pecnik clawed his nation back into the game on 63 minutes with his second goal of the game.
Slovenia, though, could not build on their second half momentum and lost the match 3-2.
