Sheffield Wednesday head groundsman Steve Kiddy has issued a vote of thanks to local company Express Coatings, who re-sprayed the goalposts at Hillsborough for the current campaign.
By means of a thank you, the Owls invited Dave Barker and a selection of colleagues to a recent Championship game to enjoy some complimentary hospitality and Kiddy said:
“It was a wonderful gesture by Express Coatings and we were very grateful for their input.”
Dave added: “After supporting Sheffield Wednesday for many years it was a privilege to powder-coat the goalposts at Hillsborough.
“I was very pleased with the hospitality for the match that we attended.
“It was a relaxing way to watch the football, have a nice meal, a tour of the dressing rooms and a photo on the pitch.”
