Team news

Owls: Wednesday manager Dave Jones has no fresh injury or suspension issues following the midweek game at Blackburn.

Jay Bothroyd and Anthony Gardner have both trained on Friday and will be monitored ahead of Saturday's clash at Ipswich.

Midfielder Chris Lines will step up his recovery tomorrow by taking part in the Under-21s game against Barnsley at Middlewood Road.

Ipswich: Caretaker boss Chris Hutchings will take charge of the Tractor Boys this weekend following the departure of Paul Jewell earlier in the week.

Striker Paul Taylor (foot) remains a long-term absentee while full back Elliott Hewitt is expected to be ruled out with tonsillitis.

Hutchings has hinted he will make changes on Saturday as Town are without a win in their previous eleven games.

View from the dug out

Dave Jones said: "It’s important that we get something from this game and we know that. Every game you play is important but certainly when you play the teams around you, you want to take points off them."

Chris Hutchings said: "It was no-nonsense today (Thursday) on the training ground from me. There were a few home truths told. This is nitty-gritty time let me tell you. I’ve told the players how it’s going to be and what I expect. There will be no grey areas."
