Owls shape up well

18 October 2012

Sheffield Wednesday are pleased to report that the club sits in a healthy position in the BBC report published today on the cost and value of modern day football.

From all 24 Championship clubs, the Owls are placed in eighth slot in terms of offering the cheapest Season Ticket in the division.

Supporters can watch Championship football for a full season at Hillsborough from only £315, equating to just over £13 per game.

Following competitive pricing packages across the board in S6 and promotion from League 1, the Owls reported a huge uplift on Season Ticket sales over the summer.

Consequently, the club are currently perched in second spot in the Championship attendance table, with an average gate of 25,080 so far.

That impressive figure will be boosted by a bumper crowd on Friday night for the visit of Leeds United in what is tipped to be an exciting derby battle.

Despite the game being broadcast live by Sky TV, Wednesday are expecting an attendance near to 30,000 for the first clash of the White Rose rivals for six years.

Limited tickets remain for the Owls v Leeds – click here for full details online, buy in person at the Ticket Office, Hillsborough or by telephone on 0871 900 1867.

And thanks, as ever, for your outstanding support.
