In conjunction with Supertram, the Owls are issuing the following details regarding travel to Hillsborough on matchday and return journeys.
Supporters travelling from Sheffield city centre to Hillsborough should board the tram heading for ‘Middlewood’ from Fitzalan Square or Castle Square, which runs directly to Leppings Lane.
Purchasing a ‘Dayrider’ ticket will allow you to return using the same ticket and represents a cheaper option than purchasing two singles. This will also prevent unnecessary queuing to buy a ticket after the game.
Alternatively, supporters can take advantage of the popular Park & Ride option, which is situated at Nunnery Square, S2 5BD, only six minutes from the heart of Sheffield city centre, with trams running every ten minutes.
Meanwhile, ideal for commuters from Manchester and the west of Sheffield is the Middlewood Park & Ride, postcode S6 1TQ.
The Park & Ride price includes a ‘Day’ ticket for the driver (which offers unlimited tram travel for one day). Additional tickets for passengers can be purchased on the tram.
Simply buy a Park & Ride ticket from the machine at the site then show it to the conductor on the tram. This ticket is then used to operate the barrier when you leave the site.
Thank you for your co-operation and both Supertram and Sheffield Wednesday wish all supporters a safe journey.
