The Owls’ Under-18s posted a goalless draw with Nottingham Forest at Middlewood Road on Saturday.
Wednesday, though, were disappointed that one point failed to become all three when Ayo Obileye missed a penalty with ten minutes to go after Wale Ayoola was felled in the area by Forest keeper Aaron Myles.
A win for the Owls would have justified their dominance of the second half following an even affair before the interval.
The Under-18s are next in action against Wigan in S6 on Friday 12 April (1.00pm).
