The Owls’ Under-21s posted a 2-2 draw with local rivals Leeds on Thursday evening.
Dominic Poleon shot the visitors into the lead in the first half but Wednesday promptly drew level through Caolan Lavery.
Lavery then put the Owls in the lead after the break before Lewis Turner grabbed a late leveller for the visitors.
The game was played at Hillsborough as part of the Development Squad criteria for the current campaign.
