Owls: Danny Pugh will not be available for Wednesday under the terms of his loan deal from parent club Leeds.
Elsewhere manager Dave Jones has said the Owls will assess the fitness levels of one or two players who are carrying minor knocks before team selection is finalised on Friday.
Leeds: United skipper Lee Peltier (ankle) is battling to be fit in time for Saturday’s clash against the Owls.
Defender Tom Lees and midfielder Michael Brown will both miss out through suspension.
Elsewhere, David Norris, Steve Morison and Chris Dawson are all injury doubts carrying minor knocks.

Caretaker manager Neil Redfearn said: “We have a couple of options if Peltier doesn’t make it. Austin was outstanding in midweek at centre back but he’s a big player for us in midfield, especially in a derby game. The options may involve playing others out of position.”
