Owls in the Park 2013

24 April 2013

Sheffield Wednesday fans of all ages are invited to enjoy a fun-filled day of family entertainment when Owls in the Park returns this summer.

The free of charge fun day, in conjunction with Sheffield City Council, will take place in Hillsborough Park on Sunday 30 June, and is shaping up to be bigger and better than last year.

Following the huge success of the first Owls in the Park, which attracted more than 10,000 fans, the event returns with even more exciting attractions.

This year SWFC teams up with local charity Support Dogs to host the county’s biggest fun dog show, there will be demonstrations from South Yorkshire Police and the Fire and Rescue service and the Tropical Butterfly House will showcase their most exotic species.

It will also be supporters’ first opportunity to meet Dave Jones’ summer signings, get their 2013/14 shirts autographed, and pose for photos with the players.

Family favourites that attracted the crowds last time around will also return with a live music stage, funfair and bouncy castles as well as your chance to meet some real-life Owls.

Kids can get involved in a host of activities, such as tennis, dance and martial arts, as part of the SWFC Community Programme’s new Active Owls initiative and enjoy football on their inflatable pitch.

Other attractions include; face painters, community dance troupe, car show, zorb balls, climbing tower, food outlets, a licensed bar and much, much more.
