Prostate Cancer UK backed

Generous Owls fans have raising in excess of £2,500 in the recent charity auction on behalf of Prostate Cancer UK – official charity partners of the Football League for 2012/13.

The specially designed shirts worn by Wednesday’s matchday squad for the home game against Cardiff were auctioned and significant sums raised for charity.

Lifelong Owls fan Scott Beswick, who successfully bid on Chris Kirkland’s shirt, attended the recent home clash against Blackburn with girlfriend Ali Gratton and the pair were presented their prize by the keeper himself.

All successful bidders will shortly receive their fully signed shirts, together with a certificate of authenticity. In turn, the club will pass on the profits to Prostate Cancer UK.

On behalf of all parties concerned, special thanks are issued to all Owls supporters who helped make the auction so successful for this extremely worthwhile cause.
