Sheffield Wednesday can confirm the signing of 19-year-old full back Rafael Floro on a one-year deal.
The Portuguese defender, whose primary position is left back, has impressed with the Owls over the pre-season campaign.
The youngster has featured in several of Wednesday’s pre-season fixtures this summer and trained with the Owls at Middlewood Road, as well as flying out with the squad to Portugal earlier this month.
Floro, who has represented Portugal at Under-18 level, began his youth career with hometown club Quarteirense.
The promising defender has also featured at youth level for Sporting Lisbon, Academica, Almansilense, Louletano DC and FC Porto.
Floro will wear squad number 24 and is available for selection in tonight’s Capital One Cup tie with Rotherham.
