The Owls’ elite players at Under-7 and Under-8 level were invited to a special training session in the Middlewood Road dome this week.
The session took place after the lads watched the first team put through their paces at the Wednesday training ground, making a memorable day for the young Owls in attendance.
Manager Dave Jones and his staff made an appearance too, adding to the overall experience for the group.
Foundation Phase lead coach Matt Burton said: “The morning was an excellent experience for all players and parents involved and I would like to thank the manager and first team staff for welcoming everyone into the club and making them feel part of Sheffield Wednesday.
“The work being carried out by our academy scouts Paul Carline and John Megson is starting to take shape and we are really pleased with the standard of the younger players now coming into the club.”
