Owls: Striker Connor Wickham is available to feature on Wednesday in what will be the final game of his loan spell from Sunderland.

Wickham scored the equaliser against Charlton on Sunday in the 1-1 draw, making it six goals in eight games for the hitman. Watch the match highlights from The Valley below.

Defender Glenn Loovens is eligible to play having extended his contract until May 2014.

Wednesday have no fresh injury or suspension concerns heading into the opening game of 2014.

Blackpool: Midfielder Chris Basham accrued his fifth yellow card of the season last time out in Blackpool’s 1-0 home defeat to Brighton.

Likewise, defender Kirk Broadfoot will be suspended for the Hillsborough clash after receiving a straight red card against Leeds on Boxing Day.
