After an impressive win against play-off hopefuls Brighton last Saturday in front of the highest Football League crowd of the day, the Owls host Derby tomorrow in a game expected to attract another bumper attendance.
And with over 3,000 Rams fans taking the short hop up the M1, the ingredients are in place for a cracking S6 atmosphere.
Nigel Clough’s side are three places shy of the top six but face an in-form Wednesday outfit further bolstered by the loan addition of £8m striker Connor Wickham, who checked in at Hillsborough from Sunderland on Friday.
Fellow forward and loanee Leroy Lita, of course, is already amongst the goals having notched two in as many games, while in total, the Owls have hit the net five times in their last two outings.
Victory this weekend could see Dave Jones’ men leapfrog three more sides in the Championship table.
Tickets for the game have been selling exceptionally well and supporters are advised to purchase in advance to avoid unnecessary queues on the day.
Prices start from just £22 for Adult Owls Members and £6 for Juniors Owls under 8 on the Kop, while non-members’ prices start from £24 adults and £14 concessions on the Kop.
Tickets are available to purchase in person at the Ticket Office, online at www.shop.sheffieldwednesday.co.uk or by telephone on 0871 900 1867 (£2 booking fee per ticket).
Supporters can pay on the day, with cash turnstiles available in all home areas. A limited number of tickets will be available to Derby fans in the West Stand upper tier.
