Team news

Owls: Reda Johnson (ankle) will miss out at St. Andrews but manager Dave Jones is hopeful the powerful defender will be available for the visit of Crystal Palace at Hillsborough on Saturday.

Jones will assess his options and make a final decision on team selection tomorrow.

Birmingham: Lee Clark could recall Nikola Zigic to the squad after dropping the striker on Saturday for the Blues’ clash against Watford.

Fellow forward Marlon King is also set to make his return to the side. A knee injury prevented King from featuring against the Hornets on Saturday.

Darren Ambrose (knee) is set to miss out on Tuesday, although the midfielder made an appearance for the Blues’ Under-21 side on Monday to step up his recovery process.

Birmingham will be looking for a positive response after their 4-0 reverse against Watford on home soil on Saturday.

View from the dugout

Dave Jones said: “Birmingham are probably the most unpredictable team in the division. They are our near rivals and we want to take points off them. The Championship is a tight division and if you look at it now it could be three teams from twelve down there.”

Lee Clark said: ”We win together and lose together and we don’t single out different parts of the team, we do it as a group and we make sure we bounce back. We've got to dust ourselves down and be men about it and get our chins up and chests out and be ready for a very tough game on Tuesday evening."
