Team news

Owls: Wednesday have a number of minor injury concerns that will be assessed after today's training session.

Owls boss Dave Jones, though, is hopeful of having a fully fit squad at his disposal on Saturday.

Palace: Midfielder Jonathan Williams will be assessed ahead of the trip to Hillsborough having picked up a muscle injury in the club’s 2-1 win over Bristol City in midweek.

Paddy McCarthy (groin), Joel Ward (groin) and Danny Gabbidon (hamstring) are all expected to miss out this weekend.

Manchester United loan ace Wilfried Zaha is now rated as doubtful after suffering a dead leg against the Robins in midweek, which prompted boss Ian Holloway to replace the winger with ten minutes left on the clock.

View from the dugout

Dave Jones said: "We have three of four niggles and we will train on Friday and assess the situation before the game. Overall, we are in good shape for this stage of the season. We are fit, we are well, and we look strong and hard to beat."

Ian Holloway said: "We've got some lovely approach play now but we've got to run away from the ball a little bit better, slip people in a little bit better and we'll be even more exciting. I think it's starting to come. Some of the combination play I'm very, very pleased with."
