Loan deal for young Owl
Owls midfielder Danny Mayor has joined League 2 side Southend on an initial 28-day loan deal.
The 21-year-old is eligible for the Shrimpers’ clash against Cheltenham at Roots Hall this evening.
Mayor has made nine appearances for the Owls this season in all competitions since his summer switch from Preston.
The ex-North End man will now link up with Paul Sturrock’s side and fellow Owls’ loanee Caolan Lavery, who joined Southend last month.
