Owls ace Reda Johnson has scooped the swfc.co.uk January Player of the Month award.
The influential defender made three Championship appearances in January and had a huge say in each to help Wednesday climb the league table.
In front of the Sky cameras against Hull City at the KC Stadium, Johnson set the Owls on their way to victory by scoring the opening goal of the game – as Wednesday went on to record a 3-1 win.
The defender then played his part in aiding Wednesday to keep a clean sheet at Hillsborough against Wolves and was back amongst the goals at The Valley in the final game of the month.
With time ticking down on what appeared to be an impending defeat against Charlton, Johnson’s looping header into the back of the net set up a dramatic finish – as new boy Leroy Lita went on to complete the comeback, scoring a last-minute winner against the Addicks.
