Sheffield Wednesday are pleased to announce the relaunch of the club’s Family Area in the Grandstand for Saturday’s game against Wolves.

The Owls are also delighted to unveil Ollie’s Kids Zone; a custom-designed space where the younger supporters at Hillsborough and their families can enjoy our new pre-match activity programme.

The area, named after mascot Ollie Owl, features colourful Wednesday-themed murals created by visual artists Urban Canvas and will be hosted by staff from the SWFC Community Programme.

At each home game a range of activities, aimed at under-11s, will take place in Ollie’s Kids Zone from 1.30pm until kick-off including face painting, competitions with exclusive prizes, the chance to meet members of the first team squad and, of course, Ollie Owl himself.

Hillsborough Library will host story-telling sessions and girls from the SWFC Community Dance Troupe will be performing on the concourses and running interactive sessions.

This area will also contain a new charity kiosk which will benefit local children’s hospice Bluebell Wood. It will be staffed by volunteers from the Community Programme, with stadium caterers The Lindley Group donating the equivalent wages to the charity.

The kiosk will have new offerings especially for younger fans, with smaller portions and healthier options available.

SWFC Ticket Office Manager Alastair Wilson, said: “We are delighted to announced the relaunch of our family area and new activity programme and hope this area will enhance the matchday experience.

"The club aims to encourage more families to Hillsborough and hope initiatives like our family area and matchday entertainment package will help attract the fans of the future.”
