Sheffield Wednesday legends are joining a host of former football stars this Sunday for a charity match to raise funds for Beth’s Angels.
The charity was set up to help those affected by the road traffic accident that claimed the life of 18-year-old Bethany Jones. She was in a hen party travelling to Liverpool when a lorry collided with the group’s mini-bus near Pontefract.
Old Wednesday favourites David Hirst and John Sheridan will play alongside names such as Lee Sharpe and Mark Crossley, as the legends take on South Elmsall Heroes – friends and family of the crash victims.
Following the game the players will be involved in a Q&A session and spectators will have the chance to get personal autographs to raise funds.
Entrance is £5 for adults and FREE for children with all proceeds helping those grieving and injured following the accident.
